Hadar's Molds

Hadar's Molds are made out of high-grade purple silicone putty, a flexible mold material which picks up fine details. The photo on the top of this page shows a collage made with some of these molds. The best way to use the molds it to moisten them with a drop of olive oil and then use a toothbrush to get the oil inside the crevices. Then push the clay into the mold and press on the clay with your fingers. To release the clay, hold the mold upside-down and fold it upward until the clay drops on the working surface without distorting.
